All the Tools We Need
God has given us all we need to live this life well! Sometimes we don’t feel like this is true, but that is our weakness talking. We feel inadequate and incapable, but we deny ourselves God’s power when we forget what the Holy Spirit offers us. The gift of the Holy Spirit was a gift of access. We have access to all the strength of Heaven living inside our heart. How incredible is this truth!
Listen to the words of Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control: against such there is no law.” Notice that this verse does not say the fruit of our faith or the fruit of our will. We could never possess all of these things in consistent abundance without the Holy Spirit. It is He who produces these qualities in us. This means that when we receive Him, we have the seeds of all these qualities instantly within us. Therefore, “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.”
Let us learn to walk in His power and strength. May we grow in all understanding and fruit as we learn through the help of the Holy Spirit. God has given us all the tools we need to do and be everything He created us to be. We have no excuses, only opportunities to trust Him.
